Five things to do this weekend in Charlotte

No matter what you do, make your weekend great. Here’s some inspiration:

Music Box Lunch at Romare Bearden Park is a great event if you are looking for a place to eat besides the break room. This Friday will feature Casey Clark starting at noon and will go until 1:30. Don’t worry if you miss it, they happen every Tuesday and Friday through the end of August.

Cheese_cake_de_Jamie_OliverUh, yes please! National Cheese Cake day at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market. The farmers market was on the lineup last week, and Cheese cake (or any delicious baked goods) make for a worthy second listing.

Phillip Phillips & Matt Nathanson are playing July 29th at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheater. If you want a slower, acoustic filled Friday night this is the place to be. Acoustic Syndicate is a step to the left with more of a bluesy, country vibe. They play at the Visulite Theatre on Friday as well.

Sugar Creek Brewing Company is hosting a Charlotte Artist Showcase featuring work from Jen Hill, Andy Rocco to name a few. This event will be a fun community event featuring local beers, local artists and will benefit the Carolinas HealthCare Foundation.” You’ll find all this info on their Facebook page.
