Donna Brazile, then a commentator for CNN shot an email to the Clinton Campaign on March 5, giving Clinton an edge over Bernie Sanders leading up to the CNN Democratic debate. The email said “One of the questions directed to HRC tomorrow is from a woman with a rash,” adding “Her family has lead poison and she will ask what, if anything, will Hillary do as president to help the ppl of Flint.”
The next night, a town hall debate a woman asked about what change would be made to avoid what happened in Flint, Michigan, her hometown.
Brazile has had earlier trouble with emails being leaked to Clinton weeks ago where she gave Clinton a question in advance about the death penalty. Brazile resigned on October 14th after a result of this leak and this revelation adds fuel to the fire.
CNN is “completely uncomfortable” with a former contributor’s relationship with the Hillary Clinton campaign and has cut ties with Donna Brazile, a network spokesman said Monday.
“On October 14th, CNN accepted Donna Brazile’s resignation as a CNN contributor,” the network said in a statement.
“CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate,” the statement continued. “We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor.”
