President-elect Donald Trump selects two for administration

President-elect Donald Trump selected two people Sunday as he chisels down his shortlist that will create the Trump administration.

Reince Priebus, the Republican National Committee chairman, has been tapped as White House chief of staff in the first official selection by Trump. Priebus has served as a chairman since 2011.

Stephen K. Bannon, executive chairman of Breitbart news and chief executive of Trump’s campaign, has been named chief strategist and senior counselor to advise the president.

Panthers drop win in final quarter

The Carolina Panthers gave up the game and one of their last chances at a playoff position after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 20-17 on Sunday.

The Chiefs delivered 17 unanswered points. A field goal, an interception for a touchdown and a two-point conversion brought them within striking distance before finishing off the Panthers.

The Panthers play the Saints on Thursday at the Bank of America Stadium.
