Gov. Pat McCrory finally concedes to opponent Roy Cooper

The 74th governor of North Carolina announced in a video Monday that he has conceded to his Democratic opponent Roy Cooper. McCrory said the people of North Carolina have spoken in what he considered to be the closest gubernatorial race in North Carolina history.

He announced he and his team will work with Cooper to assist in any way possible during the transition.

“I am proud that our team leaves this state a much better place than when we came into office,” McCrory said.

Since McCrory took office in 2013, unemployment is near an all-time low and he helped facilitate over 300,000 jobs that came to North Carolina.
