Dale Earnhardt Jr. cleared to resume racing after recovering from concussion

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been given the green light to race again, Hendrik Motorsports said in a statement Thursday.

The driver was out for 18 races as he recovered from a concussion he suffered during a crash back in June at the Michigan International Speedway.

Earnhardt Jr. said he not only feels confident in his team, but he feels better and stronger than before. He will show the racing world he is back when the 2017 season kicks off Feb. 26 at the Daytona 500.
