CMPD looking for missing Uber driver

Police are looking for 44-year-old Marlo Johnis Medina-Chevez after he went missing while driving for Uber on Saturday night. He was last seen in Southwest Charlotte on Ayrshire Glen Place.

Medina-Chevez was last seen wearing a gray short-sleeve shirt, jeans and sandals, according to police.  Medina-Chevez is described as 5-foot-5 and has black hair with dark eyes. If you have any information, call 911.

South Charlotte Whole Foods opens this week

A high-end grocery store is adding its third location near Providence Road next week. The new Whole Foods will open at 7221 Waverly Walk Ave. on May 23. You can read more about the grand opening here.

Mint Museum Uptown receives $150,000 grant

The stairs at Mint Museum Uptown are about to get a lot cooler thanks to a $150,000 grant from the Knight Foundation.

The huge concrete stairs lead to the front entrance, and some visitors have said they are intimidating, according to The Mint Museum website. The new stairs will be equipped with LEDs that are interactive to the touch, just like the Seventh Street Station, which is where the inspiration came from. Full story here.

Sea lion grabs girl from pier

A girl was snatched from a Canadian pier when a sea lion attacked her, pulling her headfirst into the water. Luckily, a man who is believed to be her relative jumped in to save her.
