York County Police have found the body of 44-year-old Marlo Medina-Chevez on Thursday near Rock Hill, S.C.
Medina-Chevez left his home last week to drive for Uber and went missing shortly after. A multi-state search for any evidence led to finding Medina-Chevez’s Nissan Pathfinder in Maryland, with two suspects inside.
The suspects, Diontray Adams and James Stevens, were arrested last Tuesday and are expected to be charged in some way to the death of Medina-Chevez, according to Charlotte Police.
“This is not the outcome we had hoped for,” Maj. Cam Selvey said during a press conference Thursday afternoon.
“Based on the condition of the body, the fact that we are not able to make a positive identification, we also can’t say… what the cause of death was,” Selvey said after being asked if there were details on how Medina-Chevez died.
FBI, York County Sheriffs, Rock Hill police and Charlotte police were all called to the scene Thursday.
