Guard Julyan Stone signed to Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets announced Wednesday they signed guard Julyan Stone as their latest addition to the team. Stone signed as a free agent with the Hornets and will return to the major leagues after playing at Reyer Venezia Mestre of the Lega Basket Serie A in Italy, where he helped lead the team to a 2017 championship, according to a press release.

Stone will be the Hornets’ third point guard, behind starter Kemba Walker and backup Michael Carter-Williams.

Starting in 2011, Stone played for the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors before moving to Italy’s professional basketball league.

Stone will wear No. 32 for the Hornets.
