Slight chance of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes for Carolinas this afternoon

The National Weather Service updated its storm predictions for the Carolinas on Monday, forecasting a slight risk of severe thunderstorms with a chance of strong winds and potential tornadoes.

The greatest chance for bad weather is expected from Greenville, South Carolina, to the coast and into southern Virginia.

The storm is expected to roll through around 1 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m.
