5 things to get you in the holiday spirit this weekend

With the holidays underway, there are lots of ways to enjoy the season.

Christmas at the Billy Graham Library

A live nativity scene, horse-drawn carriage rides and decorated buildings make the Billy Graham Library a great place for the whole family to visit. It is free to park and visit, but you can spice up your trip with a Christmas dinner or holiday treats. Find more information here.

Speedway Christmas

Enjoy Christmas lights in the fast lane as you drive around the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s display. Tickets are $25 per car and $50 for each van. The speedway has a drive-in theater with a 6:30 p.m. showing of the following movies:

  • Dec. 14 – 17 – “Elf”
  • Dec. 18 – 24 – “The Polar Express”
  • Dec. 28 – 30 – “Frozen”

Grab unique gifts at VTG CLT Pop

VTG CLT Pop is a pop-up shop featuring local handmade and vintage items. The shop will be open until Dec. 21 and is located at Church and Third street. This Friday, the pop-up will feature Sycamore Brewing with food trucks, special beers and hot ciders. It’ll be a great spot for unique gifts. You can find more information here.

The Carolina Panthers will battle the Green Bay Packers at the Bank of America Stadium this Sunday. There is a lot of buzz surrounding this matchup since Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could play his first game in almost two months after being sidelined by a collarbone injury.
